SOTRABAN……SINCE 1972 ! 

During the seventies potential, ability and competitiveness of the lower Normandy subcontractors were still unknown. Buyers, located in others regions of France, are tended to work with their usual suppliers. Aware of this fact, the subcontractors of lower Normandy understood that they had to develop their business in common network.

SOTRABAN was founded in 1972 and after several months, a nonprofit organization was chosen, largely open to contribute to:
- The development of information within the members.
- The training of members.
- The promotion of companies, in Normandy and in the North West of France.
- The development of the lower Normandy image and the industrial activity.

Companies and their managers can find within SOTRABAN a place to exchange ideas and meet their counterparts.
The main action of SOTRABAN is to promote its members skills In order to build business relationship with their customers. At first, the contacts took place in Normandy e.g.: CAEN and ALENCON.

In 1974 SOTRABAN made its first MIDEST in PARIS and in the next two years, exhibits were made in several towns in EUROPE: LAUSANE. BRUSSELS. BIRMINGHAM. HANNOVER. JONKOPING. BRNO.

All these exhibitions completed the canvassing made in the North West of France.
